i've shared a bit about my experiences but i don't think i ever gone into much detail.
i'm setting this down as an example of what growing up a witness can be like for any lurkers who have doubts or questions.
i was born into a family of witnesses.
Beaten up for learning for learning Kingdom Melodies!! For cryin' out loud, that's a crazy one. Seems there's no end to the surprises you get from someone's lousy experiences. Hope you're surviving ok, Aztec. You seem like a cool kid, anyway. Git on over there, stick "Smash It Up" by The Damned on the tape recorder & pogo all over him!

just been playing with my new pc.
a friend gave me a program called yzdock.
it's a neat menu system / navigator (you can see it at the bottom of my win xp desktop) .
I use one of those desktop changers so my wallpaper's different every day or even several times a day if I re-boot often. Gives me a different boot screen each time too so I don't have to get sick of that dull Windows blue sky & it randomizes the wav file intros as well, all depending on how many of each I have. With 150 boot screens I dont have to see the same thing for months. The one I'm using at the moment is here:

The rest of the site's useless, but the changer's ok. There may be better ones out there so look around, but this one does me. Chuck in as many wallpapers, boot screens, boot up & log off sounds as you can & there you are.

mulan called me yesterday afternoon to tell me her dad had suffered a stroke.
i did talk to my dad last night and he seemed to think that grandpa was going to be ok. i had a birthday party with nine little girls all afternoon and was completely out of touch as a result.. i think she could use a hug, don't you?.

my youngest son had his last exam today.
that gives him a good start at high school don t you think?
sending him to private school has sometimes been an economic struggle for me,but we had an agreement: i pay without complaining and you bring home the good grades without complaining.we both kept our promise.
Isn't it cool how someone else's good experience can make you feel just a bit more positive sometimes.

in all honesty, are you pretty much like you are at home or in the workplace when you post here?
i wonder whether or not you are the same personality in person as you are here on the internet board.......i'm very much the same only i don't ask people questions in real life.
but my basic personality and wonderful wit is always there.
I wouldn't want to misconstrue myself & I'd hate even worse to give a misleading or deceptive impression but I do get concious of the limitations of the written word. No tone of voice, no facial expressions, no body language & gestures with which to help someone understand not just what I say but how I'm 'saying' it. So I guess I try to think about what I write a little. Sometimes I think these flame wars build up through interpreting posts with 'ways of talking' which may not have been the original intent but that seem coarse maybe coz of the writing style. If I always write like I talk no-one hears necessarily how I'd say stuff so that's the only thing I take some care with I hope. Best I can expect is to come across as truthful & most of you guys seem that way. That aside, if I ever do straight talking, hopefully it'll come across as mates having a blab & a beer.
So, nice talking with you smelly bunch of pigs armpits.....

If it ain't bad enough that the whole island from top to bottom gets called 'England', now we've got the entire top part of it shrunk down to the size of a few square miles north of Dumbarton!! Mulan, it wasn't the echoes of the slaughter of the wounded you could hear, it was the 'moans of Leicester' roving about & groaning at there being no "Culloden Tea Rooms" to sit in for a quick fag & McChicken burger! Celtic, mate, going by your biog you go straight to Loch Lomond & file a report later on. Though with an alias like yours, er, just avoid Ibrox Park that's all. I've told everybody about that post & they're all going mad!!!

do you think that the jw religion has at least some blame or bloodguilt over some of the jw suicides?
i personally know they do, not all cases i am sure, but i know a large amount of them are cult related jw.......... remember we are not talking about just another religion, but a mind controlled cult known as jw's.
When I saw the photo of LyinEyes mum, I wrote something up but was too unsure & shy about whether to post it or not. Here's part of it:
Recently I got told about a fella who always had a smile, a 'Hello', a handshake & chit - chat for me anytime we met, even though I didn't really know him that well. Just a sorta casual acquaintance I suppose, but a warm & friendly guy. Unfortunately somehow he & his best friend's girl somehow got involved. Consensus is he got crushed so much by what he'd got into that mental illness & strange behaviours followed, eventually jumping out of a window. Not a very high up one, but enough to end it all for him. My mate telling me about this - he knew him better than me - then said "That's fourteen people I've known who've killed themselves, from the meetings", which is, admittedly, quite a figure.
This may be unusual, but there it is. LyinEyes, I never got t say how an attractive wee person your mum seems from that nice wee photo. My mate still doesn't know how that 14 could've been 15. But that's another tale.....

anyone here going to the newcastle upon tyne assembly this weekend?
Edinburgh moved to St. Johnstone's football grounds at Perth. You may have noticed the girl whose identity was concealed in the Panorama programme making a reference to it when she talked about camping at Perth. It's moved elsewhere again tho I forget where. T In The Park was always just up the road at the same time as Perth, so the choice between the drama & Radiohead is now half as big.
